7 years ago, we established Ocala’s first full-person health center. 

Over the last 7 years, we have grown and served over 5000 patients (and counting!). As you probably know, our primary aim is to help you connect spirit, mind, and body so that, together, we can discover the root cause of your symptoms while creating a healthy lifestyle in all three areas.

We believe God’s desire for us all is abundant life. You may be on a journey of healing from big health challenges. Or perhaps you’re working towards better health by identifying little things before they become big things.  We now have a proven model that can reverse, eliminate, and prevent chronic disease using our evidence-based philosophies of healing. 

So how did it all start? With us, Jamie and Ashlee! We reconnected 16 years after graduating high school together when we were both working in our professions (Jamie, a Christian counselor and Ashlee, a Nurse Practitioner). That was when we started to recognize the interrelated needs of our clients—the needs that required a more collaborative approach than what the norm was and are to this day. 

After many long runs and trust-building experiences as friends, we took the leap and purchased our first brick-and-mortar in downtown Ocala. 

Every bank and consultant told us it wouldn’t work because we did not have “proof of concept” for blending functional medicine with faith-based counseling under a single roof, but that didn’t stop us! We trusted God’s vision, so we sat down, created a business plan, and moved forward. 

In the beginning stages, we prayed we could cover our overhead. We worked extraordinarily long days, brought laundry (sweat towels from the sauna and mud baths) home to wash, didn’t pay ourselves, sacrificed many nights and weekends with additional work to cover the gaps, and gave a lot of our cutting-edge services away for FREE so you could experience the health benefits. We even taught free lectures anywhere that would have us. (By the way, we still love doing this!) 

Then we prayed some more. We ultimately survived a pandemic and a move from our downtown location to a right-sized location with parking (yes, we heard you!). 

Though it was not easy, and there were many mistakes or “golden opportunities” along the way, we had a steadfast vision to employ a like-minded team of clinicians passionate about creating a culture of health in our community. We have since expanded employee benefits to include retirement and additional paid time off so that our team can live the message of health with their families.

We acknowledge and hold close to our hearts the trust and support of so many of you and are filled with gratitude as we write this message right now. Our husbands are unwavering in their support. They took the leap with us and continue to be the secret sauce in their own unique ways. Our parents believed in us and continue to be great mentors and cheerleaders. At first, our kids begged us not to talk about the health center. But now they talk about Faithfully Guided with their friends and even promote our services to the school lunch ladies!

Then there is the ultimate compliment: support from our patients. 

Our prayer and hope is that we continue meeting the growing needs of our community, one person at a time, while staying true to the biblical principles we were founded upon. We also plan to continue learning and implementing science-backed methodologies rooted in a holistic health model of care. It is our life’s mission to help each person fulfill their calling and unique purpose, and that is only done when we have true health—in spirit, mind, and body.
